RANGER CUP AWARDS GIVEN TO TOP WALLEYE PROS
Incentive Program Hands Out Big Money, New Boat During
Ceremony
FLIPPIN, Ark. (January 22, 2008) – Following
the enormous success of Ranger Walleye Pros at all
levels of tournament competition this year, the Ranger
Cup Awards were awarded during the company’s
recent Product Knowledge Tour. The contingency program
is designed to reward Ranger owners for their success
on the water and the continued loyalty to Ranger Boats.
This year, Ranger Cup Awards were given to the Top
10 finishers in the point standings for walleye fishing
either the FLW or PWT tournament trails. Anglers walked
away with Ranger Cup money as well as bonus money,
courtesy of the Evinrude and Yamaha contingency programs
that awards anglers who fish from Ranger boats powered
by Evinrude and Yamaha outboards.
A total of $48,750 in Ranger Cup and Evinrude contingency
money was awarded during the awards luncheon as well
as a new 2008 Ranger 620VS powered by an Evinrude
225 E-TEC, awarded to first place winner in the walleye
division, Jason Przekurat. Przekurat, fishing the
FLW Walleye Tour, finished with 177 points thanks
to a tournament win and four, Top-15 finishes during
the season.
“To date, our Ranger Cup program has paid out
in excess of $3 million to our very accomplished Ranger
owners on both the walleye and bass tours. We feel
that we have the most accomplished group of owners
in the industry; not just in terms of tournament wins,
but in terms of character individuals who do an outstanding
job of representing what Ranger Boats is all about,”
said Ranger Boats President, Randy Hopper. “We
are proud of their accomplishments and feel that the
industry’s best owners deserve the industries
best contingency program. More than just redefining
what real money is as it relates to these kinds of
awards, we’re rewarding them for a job well
done.”
The Ranger Cup program awards points to anglers who
compete out of Ranger boats during qualifying tournament.
A maximum of 50 poin ts is given to Ranger owners
for a first-place finish and are decreased by one
