NPAA Honorable Mention – Sonny
Reynolds
Valley City, ND, January 10, 2008: The National Professional
Angler Association (NPAA), a non-profit organization
focused on growing the sport of fishing and increasing
the professionalism of its members, is honoring Sonny
Reynolds, Tournament Director of the FLW Walleye Tour
for his promotion and support of the NPAA.
Sonny Reynolds will join the ranks of Bob Propst,
Sr., Larry Porter, Al Lindner, Ron Lindner, Jim Kalkofen,
Stan Fagerstrom, and Kristine Houtman as NPAA Lifetime
Honorary Members.
Reynolds, who has helped direct Operation Bass, which
is now FLW Outdoors, since the late 1970’s,
has been instrumental in the successful growth of
the FLW Bass and Walleye Tours. Reynolds, one of the
original Tournament Directors, has been traveling
this great nation conducting fishing tournaments and
promotional activities for over 2 decades.
As a supporting member of the NPAA, Reynolds has
played an exemplary role in recruiting new members
and taking professional walleye anglers to a new level
of competitive walleye angling.
Residing in Gilbertsville, KY, near Kentucky Lake
Reynolds is married to his lovely wife and huge supporter,
Sharon Reynolds. They have two children, Tyler and
Jessica, and Reynolds insists, “those kids could
manage a tournament themselves as much time as they’ve
spent with us.” When asked about the most memorable
moments in his fishing career, Reynolds says, “It’s
been fun to see the rapid growth of the industry and
I have so many lasting memories. I am proud to have
been part of the instructional staff of the Bass Fishing
Institute with Billy and Bobby Murray. It was one
of the biggest evolutions in bass fishing.”
