CHIP LEER JOINS LIDDLE MARKETING COMPANY
Renowned outdoor radio and TV personality Chip Leer has joined Liddle Marketing Company as master of ceremonies/assistant for corporate fishing events.
The company specializes in hosting outdoor marketing events for a variety of major clients, including Northwestern Health Sciences University, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Minnesota National Guard Fishing, Ranger Boats, Evinrude, and Northland Fishing Tackle Company and Rapala.
LMC hosts events for customer incentive, employee appreciation, prospecting clients and team building through the use of outdoor events and activities, including a successful public fishing tackle swap meet, where clients came together in a 10,000 square feet arena to showcase their products while hundreds of individual anglers paid small fees to trade/buy fishing tackle. The prototype event set a new standard in event management. Additional events are scheduled for 2010.
Leer joins an impressive lineup of fishing team anglers affiliated with LMC events, which includes boat test rides and demonstrations and corporate fishing events www.liddlemarketingcompany.com. Recreational fishing supports a million jobs, pays $45 billion in wages and has an overall economic impact of $125 billion in the United States annually, compared to another popular corporate event activity, golfing, which had a direct economic impact of $76 billion in the U.S., according to a study commissioned by Ponte Vedra Beach-based Golf 20/20.
Since 2007 Leer has hosted the In-Fisherman and In-Fisherman Ice Guide TV series, and has published various articles in print publications. Before that he served as tournament director of the In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail and in 2007 was chosen, from hundreds of fishing guides, to host Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and the state's first lady on the largest opening fishing day in North America, held at Leech Lake in Walker, MN.
"I am excited to welcome Chip to our staff," said LMC owner George Liddle. "He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and expertise to our group, and we look forward to working with him."
